Christmas in the Colonias
Friday, December 23, 2011, STxIH staff loaded up a van to the breaking point with new, wrapped toys (donated by Clark Knapp Honda) and gently used toy donations from community members.
STxIH’s promotora, medical assistant, and dietitian visited 10 families in Donna colonias and distributed toys to over 50 children.
The children were so excited to receive Christmas gifts! Some families had small Christmas trees, but gifts were nowhere in sight.
STxIH thanks Clark Knapp Honda for partnering with STxIH to make local children’s Christmas day celebration all the more memorable.
